Revolut Betting Sites UK: The Apps That Take Revolut, Tested

We funded a real account on each app and used Revolut where the cashier allowed it, either as a named option or through a Revolut card, the same testing behind the full payment picture. For Revolut specifically, we noted:

• How it was listed: named in the cashier, or usable only as a Visa or Mastercard card.
• Whether the gambling block bit: we confirmed a deposit cleared with the block off.
• Minimums and currency: the Revolut deposit floor and whether the cashier settled in GBP or EUR.

Each app also ran across the same six devices, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 2 XL, Galaxy S25, Galaxy A17, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 11, with bet placement timed at 19 to 21 seconds per app.

• Seven apps list Revolut by name. Runa is the exception: it does not name Revolut, but a Revolut card is the way to use a Visa when you install Runa, since it takes Mastercard directly but not a standard Visa debit.
• Three of the eight run euro cashiers: the Basswin betting app, Spinpolo and the SpellWin app. A Revolut deposit into those is a currency conversion, though Revolut’s multi-currency accounts handle that better than a standard sterling card.

The mistake that trips people up is treating Revolut as an e-wallet like Skrill or PayPal. On these apps it is not. Revolut issues Visa and Mastercard debit cards, and that is how the cashier sees it: a normal debit card.

So at the cashier, choose the Debit Card or Card Payment option and enter your Revolut card details. Do not pick an e-wallet option if one is offered, because routing a Revolut payment as an e-wallet tends to raise the rejection rate. On a first deposit a physical Revolut card is more reliable than a virtual one; if a virtual card is declined, the physical card often goes through. You then approve the payment with a notification in the Revolut app, so keep notifications on, or the authorisation can time out and fail even with money in the account.

This is the setting behind most “why was my deposit refused” questions. Revolut has a built-in gambling block in the app’s Security settings. It reads the merchant category code a business registers under and declines anything that matches a betting merchant, online or on the high street.

The block is disabled by default on most accounts, but some accounts have it switched on, and when it is on a deposit is refused before it ever reaches the app’s cashier. That refusal can look like a bookmaker error rather than a Revolut setting, which is what catches people out. To check it, open the Revolut app, go to Security, and look at the gambling block. Turning it off is deliberately slowed: there is a cooling-off delay of around 48 hours before the unblock takes effect, so it is not an instant switch. If a Revolut payment to one of these apps is declined and your balance is fine, this is the first thing to check.

Runa has the lowest Revolut floor at £15; the rest sit at £20 or €20. Withdrawals run 1 to 3 business days on every app, so Revolut does not make these instant-payout sites. Withdraw back to the same Revolut card you deposited with, since using a different card can trigger an extra check and slow the payout.

Most apps run GBP cashiers, so a Revolut deposit in sterling is a like-for-like payment. Three run euro cashiers: Basswin, Spinpolo and SpellWin. A Revolut deposit into those is converted, and this is where Revolut earns its place, because its multi-currency accounts let you hold euros and pay from a euro balance, avoiding a conversion on every deposit that a standard sterling card would incur.

Revolut itself does not charge a fee to deposit or withdraw at these apps. The operator might, though we did not see one in testing, so it is worth a glance at the cashier before you confirm.

Two things decide whether a Revolut deposit earns a bonus. First, whether the app has a sports offer at all, because several advertise a casino-only headline. Second, whether the offer accepts a Revolut deposit as a qualifying method, which varies.

• Genuine sports welcome among the Revolut apps: Beonbet (100% up to £150, gentle 5x wagering), SpellWin (100% free bet up to €100, 5x), Basswin (150%). Legionbet and LuckyWave give free bets after a qualifying bet.

Because a Revolut payment reads as a debit card, it usually qualifies where card deposits qualify, but read the offer terms before depositing rather than assuming.

Revolut adds a few controls a plain debit card does not. You can generate a virtual card for betting so your real card number is never entered on a site, and you can freeze the card instantly in the app if something looks wrong. Revolut holds a UK banking licence with FSCS protection on eligible balances, and it runs its own fraud monitoring, which can trigger a check on unusual betting activity.

On privacy, a betting deposit shows on your statement as Revolut rather than the operator’s name, which keeps the specific site off your bank record. That is a genuine benefit, though it does not change the fact that these apps sit outside UKGC protection.

If Revolut will not go through and the gambling block is not the cause, the same apps offer other routes. Cards (Visa or Mastercard) work at all 12 Visa and Mastercard betting sites, and crypto runs on all 12 sites that take crypto. Nine apps take a bank transfer deposit or open banking. On mobile, a card can also ride behind Google Pay betting apps at five sites and Apple Pay betting apps at three.
